CO.ME.CA. S.p.A. celebrated 40 years of business in 2009.

Business begins in 1969, in a 300 m² warehouse, thanks to the intuition of the founders Giovanni Tolettini, son of the late Andrea Tolettini and Giovanni Tolettini, son of the late Nicola Tolettini,    and Remo Gardumi and Alessandro Turelli; initially production covers the machining of mechanical structures, almost exclusively for the Feralpi steelworks. Soon, however, CO.ME.CA. S.p.A. becomes known and valued further afield, so much so that it acquires an excellent clientele including all the most popular steelworks in the province of Brescia.

Almost ten years after it opened, in 1977, the company becomes a Limited company and builds other warehouses to develop a covered area of 2,000 m². In 1980 further development allows it to expand, extending to a covered area of 4,500 m², on a total area of 42,000 m².
In November 2003, the month during which expansion is completed, the company occupies an area of 35,000 m², 10,000 m² of which are covered.

In just a few years the plant has almost doubled its capacity: today it stands over an area of about 65,000 sq.m, 11,000 of which are covered, and comprises seven sheds served by twenty overhead travelling cranes with capacities that range from 2,000 kg to 60,000 kg.

The company specialises in three areas: mechanical, for the construction, maintenance and repair of parts for hot rolling and continuous casting plants and steelworks, the remachining of carbon-graphite
electrodes for electric furnaces, and the machining of cast iron and tungsten carbide rolls for rolling mills; environmental, with the design, production, assembly and maintenance of primary and secondary fume extraction plants; and finally medium to heavyweight structural steel work, with the construction of furnaces, ladles and scrap loading baskets.
